KENNETH RAY WALKER, 78, of Branchland, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his home. He was born February 7, 1945, in East Lynn, W.Va., a son of the late Virgil and Margie Walker. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Gladys Pauley and Lettie Walker; son-in-law Bruce Frye; stepson Cecil Don Adkins; granddaughter Macy Frye; and great grandson, Colton Andrew Carter. Kenneth was a US Army veteran and a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Donna Walker; four daughters, Dreama (Frank) Darst of Lavalette, W.Va., Donella Adkins Frye of Wayne, Kimberly (Robert) Ferguson of Branchland, and Amanda (Daren) Carter of Wayne; 11 grandchildren, Dustin (Becky) Walker; Shyanna (Levi) Black, Amber (Garth) Randolph; Ryan (Makayla) Ferguson, Derrick (Shena) Darst, Heavenlea (T.J.) Elliott, MaKennah Ferguson, Andrew (Breanna) Carter, Dekoda Frye, LeAnn Carter, and David Carter; and seven great grandchildren, Abby Edwards, Macey Black, Eli Black, Presley Carter, Ryla Ferguson, Mason Ferguson, and Willow Elliott. Also surviving is one brother, Elmer walker of Genoa, W.Va., and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Jason McComas and A.J. Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.
