Leona "Sue" Kirk

LEONA “SUE” KIRK, 82, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her home.  She was born May 26, 1943, in Wayne, a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Jewel Jackson Smith.  Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Joe Smith, Maxie Smith, Margaret White, Robert Smith, Judy Webb, Ricky Smith, and Betty Moore.

                Sue attended Twelvepole Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts, coloring, crossword puzzles, and watching her shows. 

                Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Sue (Roger) Scott of Wayne and Tammy Riddle of Marysville, Oh.; her special grandson Anthony Stephens who devoted his days to caring for her; as well as her other dear grandchildren, Tommy and Nicole Riddel of Marysville, Camren Starkweather, Joseph Starkweather, both of Parma, Oh., Trevor Starkweather of East Lynn, W.Va., and Michale Starkweather of Fort Gay, W.Va.

                Also surviving are two sisters, Norene (Cushman) Blethen of Florida and Patricia (Norma) Webb of Genoa, W.Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.

                Private services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
