Linda Kay Smith

LINDA KAY SMITH, 58, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at her residence.  She was born April 28, 1967, in Huntington, W.Va., daughter of the late Cecil and Helen Thompson.  Her husband Ermal Smith also preceded her in death.

                Survivors include five children, Rachel Thompson (Daivid) of Louisa, Ky., Kevin (Dalina) Smith of Ft. Gay, W.Va., Eric Smith of Dunlow, W.Va., Seth (Cindy) Smith of Huntington, W.Va., and Beth Smith (Nathaniel) of Wayne; numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

                Also surviving are three brothers, Freddie (Juanita) Thomspon of Ft. Gay, Willis Thomspon of Florida, and Buddy (Peanut) Thompson of Columbus, Oh.; two sisters, Nora Jane Thompson of Ft. Gay, and Jenny Thompson of Wayne; special friend Tammy Rowe; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

                Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery, Ft. Gay.  Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday.
