MACK SPENCE, JR., 67, of Genoa, W.Va., went home to be with his savior and lord, Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 6, 2025. He was born September 26, 1957, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Mary Ellen and Bernie “Bush” Spence. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Zeke Spence, and one sister, Fannie Garcia.
Survivors include his loving wife, Martha Ann Spence; stepchildren Savannah Brumfield (Perry Plymale), Lashonda Jervis, and Joseph Jervis; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Lavonda Vannatter; and brother-in-law Adam Vannatter, all of Genoa.
Also surviving are two brothers, Woody (Connie) Spence of Wayne, W.Va., and Jeff (Debbie) Spence of Portsmouth, Ohio; several dear nieces and nephews; as well as a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted April 9, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Kirk, and Brother Johnny Mack Kirk officiating. Burial followed in the Vannatter Cemetery, Genoa.
