MAUDIE ALIFAIR ISAACS, 76, of Rochester Hills, Mich., formerly of Kenova, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was born June 18, 1948, in Hamlin, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lura and Wayne Runyon. Also preceding her in death was her husband, James Carlos Isaacs; sisters Leola Finley and Sylvia Huybert; and one brother Wayne “Bud” Runyon. Maudie was a retired sales associate having worked 35 years for Kmart , 10 years for Wal-Mart, and attended Kenova Church of Christ for many years.
Survivors include her children, David Isaacs of Huntington, W.Va., and Teresa (Keith) Thomas of Rochester Hills, Mich.; four grandchildren, James Thomas of Rochester Hills, Lura Thomas of Macomb, Mich., Keith Thomas, Jr., of Rochester Hills, and Brittany (Brandon) Hosler of Onstead, Mich.; and five great grandchildren, Destiny Merker, Melanie Salinas, Mackenzie Thomas, Hunter Thomas, and Braxton Hosler.
Also surviving are two sisters, Carol Adkins of Kiahsville, W.Va., and Genoa (Harold) Keithley of Zephyrhills, Fla.; one stepsister, Tami Jo Vance of Chapmanville, W.Va.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday. Donations to assist the family are appreciated and can be made by selecting the “Donations” tab above.
