Melissa Carole (Curtis) Chaffin

MELISSA CAROL CURTIS CHAFFIN, 53, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023.  She was born August 29, 1969, in Huntington, W.Va., and was a homemaker.  Her maternal grandparents Harold and Anna Pelfrey preceded her in death, along with one sister, Wendy Chapman. 

            Melissa is survived by her parents, David and Nadine Curtis of Lavalette; two sons Noah Chaffin and Dakota Chaffin, both of Wayne; their father Tony Chaffin; and one grandson, Leo, on the way.

            Also surviving are two sisters, Shelley (Joshua) Osborne of Genoa, W.Va., and Elizabeth Curtis of Lavalette; as well as several dear nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.

            A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at noon.  Donations to assist with final expenses are appreciated and can be made by selecting the "Donations" tab above.
