PAUL W. MAYNARD, 79, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was born April 26, 1945, at Rich Creek, West Virginia, a son of the late Marcus and Goldie Maynard. Also preceding him in death were three brothers John William Maynard, Wayne Maynard, and Henry Maynard; and two sisters Dorothy Fowler, and Mary Parsley. Paul was a US Army veteran, formerly employed at Lavalette Nursery, and a member of Elmwood United Baptist Church, Wayne.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Teresa Maynard; two children, Angela Chandler (Charlie) of Weaverville, N.C., and Richard (Darla) Maynard of Ona, W.Va.; and two grandchildren, Destiny and Jack Chandler of Northa Carolina. Also surviving are two brothers James Maynard of Wayne, and Everett Maynard of Huntington; two sisters Rinda Duncan of Wayne, and Wanda (O’Dell) Caldwell of Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Community Memorial Gardens with Elder Roger Maynard officiating. Friends and family will meet at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home at 11 a.m. and will depart in procession at 11:30 a.m.
