Rachael Davis Obituary

RACHAEL MARIE DAVIS, 50, a mighty warrior born on December 21, 1973, of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord and many beloved family members on Thursday, February 29, 2024, after a long battle with breast cancer. Preceding her in death is her husband, Eric Davis; one son, Tyler Davis; and parents, Samuel and Pamela Adkins.

She leaves behind her three boys, her everything as she often referred to them as, Trevor, Logan, and Kaedan Davis. Grandchildren, Xander and Azayla Davis, called her grandma, a title she loved dearly. “Aunt Rae Rae” was one of her most well-known titles, that so many were blessed to call her. Aunt Rae Rae was a beloved aunt, mother, friend, mentor, provider, and many other titles to so many. Tiffany Adkins, Elisha Adkins, Shanda Jenkins and Mason Adkins knew her motherly love, firsthand. They were just four of Aunt Rae Rae’s bonus children. Anyone that knew Racheal, knew that she shared her love and motherly compassion, years before she was blessed with the title of “Mom,” when her prayers were answered. She dedicated her life to raising her boys and so many others. Racheal’s love, “always protected, always trusted, always hoped, always persevered, and never failed,” it truly was a love that portrayed God (1 Corinthians 13: 7-8). She leaves behind her brothers Sammy (Pam) Adkins and Daniel (Felicia) Adkins, along with a sister Lena Adkins. Aunt Rae Rae, has numerous nieces and nephews that she leaves behind, along with those she adopted throughout her life. The void that will be left from Racheal gaining her reward for those left here, is beyond anything that can be described by words. Racheal’s faith, “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen,” (Hebrews 11:1) has been fulfilled. Oh, to be a witness to what Racheal’s eyes got to behold when her faith was fulfilled on Thursday, and she got to see her Lord and Savior, along with so many loved ones she has missed. Racheal, loved God, loved her boys, loved her family, and was going to try her best to love on you! Her strength was shown throughout her life. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a WARRIOR are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!” Psalm 127: 3-5. She filled her “quiver” full. She was blessed, as was anyone that knew her.
