Ricky Gene Dyer

RICKY GENE DYER, 70, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was born September 2, 1955, in Huntington, a son of the late Herbert and Betty Jo Dyer.  Ricky retired from the Wayne County Board of Education.

                Survivors include one brother, Leslie Dyer (Mary Daniels) of Huntington; one niece Nicole Dyer of Huntington; two nephews, Jeremy (Whitley) Dyer and Brandon (Cortney) Dyer, both of Virginia; special caregivers Vicky Vera and Edna Maynard; and a host of cousins, family and friends.

                Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Mays Branch Cemetery with Pastor Roger Smith and Pastor Eddie Bradshaw officiating.  Visitation will begin at noon at the cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
