Robert Lee Thierry

ROBERT LEE THIERRY, 66, of Genoa, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born March 1, 1955 in Logan County, West Virginia, a son of the late Alma Ramey and Luther Clark.  Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Joe Ramey and James Ramey; sister-in-law Vicki Ramey; niece Annie “Sissy” Ramey; and nephews Charlie Ramey and Leroy Ramey.

            He leaves behind his wife Peggy Thierry; three sons, Robert Lee (Samantha) Thierry, Jr. of Lavalette, W.Va., Jacob Jay (Dora) Thierry of Wayne, W.Va., and Izek Lee Thierry of East Lynn, W.Va.; two grandsons, Jacob Jay Thierry II (Jasmine Brunty) and Michael Anthony Thierry (Brenda Christian); and one great grandchild on the way.

            Also surviving is one sister, Helen Brown of Huntington, W.Va.; one brother Jeff Hazelett of Ohio; special buddies Shane Lee Dalton and Jacob Ramey; along with nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.

            The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Janet Wallace and Hospice of Huntington for their care and support.

            Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Ramey Cemetery with Pastor Garland Perry officiating.  Procession to the cemetery will depart Johnson Tiller Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
