RONALD MONROE TABOR, 82, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away at home on Sunday, August 14, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born June 1, 1940. in Wayne.
Ronald is survived by the mother of his children, Ernestine (Webb) Tabor; sons Gregory A. Tabor of Wayne, and Jeffery R. Tabor of Elizabethtown, Ky.; sister-in-law Betty Tabor; niece Teresa (Kevin) Wellman; nephews Todd (Cindy) Tabor, David L. Tabor, Duane Tabor; great nieces Karson Tabor and Jasmine Tabor; great nephew Wyatt Tabor; and previous wife Clara Hackney. He also leaves behind a very special friend who was like a brother to him, Alva (Perk)Dailey.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother Imogene (Fraley) Tabor, brothers Danny and Carlton; nephew Paul Tabor; uncles Roby and Lyle Fraley; aunts Carol Webb and Liza Fraley; grandparents John C. and Pearl Fraley; sisters-in-law Mary Francis Tabor, Pansy Tabor, and Judy Willis; brothers-in-law Bobby, Billy and Wayne Webb, Bob Ferguson, Flake Vestal, Franklin Edward and Carl Ratcliff.
Ronald retired from Inco and enjoyed watching old westerns, The Cincinnati Reds and spending time on his boat at East Lynn Lake. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Missy Brooks, Sandy Cade Smith, Rhonda Davis and Michael Connick with Hospice for the care they have given to Ronald.
Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 2022, from 12:00 - 2:00 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, Wayne. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, W.Va. by Tommy Watts, Raymond Watts and Roger Maynard.
