RONNIE LEE MARCUM, 75, of Genoa, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Born February 18, 1945 in Webb, W.Va., Ronnie retired from Laborer’s Union Local #543, Huntington; Pastor of Highlawn Avenue Church of God, Milton with 20 years of service; and formerly served nearly 14 years at the Genoa Church of God.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Stella Bowens Hodge; three brothers, Wendel Hodge, David Hodge, and Glen “Butch” Hodge, Jr.; and one sister, Cathy Hodge.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Connie Marcum; two sons, Ronnie (Vanessa) Marcum, Jr. of Dingess, W.Va., and Jeffrey Marcum of Wayne; three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Marcum of Dingess, Latanya Marcum (Corey) Ferguson of Wayne, and Madison Hope Marcum of Lavalette, W.Va.; one grandson, Chase Lee Marcum of Dingess; and a host of family and friends to numerous to mention.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Hospice of Huntington, extended church family, Leston Followay and the Gospel Tabernacle of Wayne, his caregivers, and his many friends, for their help and support.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Leston Followay officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are suggested.
