SALLY FAYE SMITH, 65, of East Lynn, W.Va., went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 16, 2024. She was born May 28, 1959, a daughter of the late Walter and Pansy Clay Perry. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Talea Smith Vannatter; brothers Vernon Perry, Robert Perry, Sam Perry, A.J. Perry, Herman Perry, infant brothers Marion, Marshall and James; and two sisters, Eloise Woods and Lessie Diaz. Sally was a loving soul - To know her was to love her.
She leaves behind a son Jeramy Smith, a “daughter” Christy Smith and four beautiful grandchildren who were her world: Aaron and Mahayla Vannatter, and Gunner and Dannika Smith. Also surviving are her siblings who meant the world to her: a sister Erma Keener of Sebring, Fla., Bernard Perry of Branchland, W.Va., Seiburn Perry of Proctorville, Oh., Junior Perry of Branchland, and Ralph (Cheryl) Perry of Edison, Oh. She also leaves behind a host of many nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly. The family would like to thank everyone who was involved in Sally’s Care and everyone for their loving prayers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Jason McComas officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
