Thelma Jean (Thompson) Wright

THELMA JEAN THOMPSON WRIGHT,94, of Brandon, Fla., passed away November 5, 2022.  She was born in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Stuart and Elizabeth Thompson.  Also preceding her in death were her husband of 58 years, Leland Wright, Jr.; two children, Jacquline Groves, and Bruce Wright; and a sister, Wanda Thompson.

Jean is survived by her children, Carla Wright Florido, Jeri Shemory, Ruth Wright, Gina Silas; one sister, Helen Jackson; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and  two great-great grandchildren.

Jean had worked in sales but was most proud of being a homemaker. Her favorite flowers were roses and she loved vanilla ice cream and apple dumplings.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Patrick Cemetery.  Local arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
