Tony R Roane

TONY R. ROANE, 66, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  He was born December 16, 1957, in Orlando, Florida, and was retired from the U.S. Army with 23 years of service.  Additionally, he was a former police officer in Columbia, S.C.  Tony was a proud patriot and loved to travel.  His father Brian Gledhill preceded him in death along with one brother, Jerry Roane.

                He leaves behind two daughters, Kerry Roane of Huntington, and Leanne Roane of Columbia; and two grandchildren, Chevy Watts of Huntington, and Carolyn Watts of Prichard, W.Va.

                His mother Rita Gledhill of Nottingham, England also survives, along with one brother, Darren (Debbie) Warner of Burlington, N.C.; two sisters, Sharon (Brian) Billingham, and Heidi (Matt) Dewsbury also of Nottingham; four nephews, David Warner, Daniel Warner, both of Burlington, Andrew Billingham, and Craig Billingham, both of England; as well as a host of friends too numerous to mention.

                Per his request, a private memorial will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
