VELORES ANN CASSIDY, 75, of Genoa, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was born April 27, 1949, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Elizabeth and Elias Perry Jr. Her husband Jerry Cassidy also preceded her in death along with one brother, Murle Perry; one nephew Cody Perry; and one son Matthew Scott Cassidy. Velores was a member of the Genoa United Baptist Church and loved horses, as well as her beloved grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
Survivors include three sons, Calvin (Stephanie) Damron of Wayne, Perry (Lesa) Damron of Genoa, and Travis (Beverly) Cassidy of Huntington; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Vickie (Robert) Maynard; one brother Elias (Kimberly) Perry III; one sister-in-law Sue (James) Chafin, all of Genoa; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Watts Perry Cemetery with Pastor Danny Stapleton officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.
