Viola Clay

VIOLA CLAY, 76, of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

She was born on December 29, 1948, to Boyd Clay and Elizabeth Adkins in Wayne, West Virginia. Viola graduated from Wayne High School and later built a career as a quality control inspector at Euclid Spring Company in Wickliffe, Ohio.

Twelve years ago, Viola became a cherished resident of Middlefield. She found great joy in crafting, quilting, reading, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her family.

Viola is survived by her son, Larry Clay; her two beloved grandsons, Zachary Clay and Christopher Clay; her brother, Dwayne Clay; her sisters, Tywana (Domenic) Beradinelli, Pamela Sue Copley, and Deborah Clay, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless family members who affectionately knew her as Aunt Vi.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, William Copley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Jones Cemetery, following the services.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday.
