VIOLET LOUISE TALBERT, 90, of Wayne, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her home. She was born March 14, 1936, in Holden, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas and Beulah Napier. Her husband Charles Ezra Talbert also preceded her in death along with sisters Lenoria Jean Johnson and Glenia McSweeney; one brother, Tommy Napier; one grandson Richard Morland; and one great grandson, Danny Thomas Stapleton II.
Survivors include four children, Richard (Debbie) Morland, Sr. of Wayne, Donna (Danny) Stapleton, also of Wayne, Lisa (Garner) Freeman of Stokesville, N.C., and Deborah (Jim) Roach of Wayne; 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Huntington for their support and love.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday.
