WAYNE LEE BURNS, of East Lynn, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2024. He was born March 7, 1937, in Wayne County, a son of the late Adam and Edna Burns. His wife Frances J. Burns also preceded him in death, along with three brothers, J.B. Burns, Ollie Burns, and Omer Burns; and three sisters, Virginia, Olive and Mary Belle. Wayne was retired from Ford Motor Corp. and a member of McClarity Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Rita (George) Baisden of Cynthiana, Ky.; four sons, Tony (Ann) Burns of North Olmsted, Ohio, Timothy (Dawn) Burns of Elyria, Ohio, Todd (Shirley) Burns of Parma, Ohio, and Troy Burns of East Lynn, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Counts officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Family Cemetery, Branchland. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
