WILLIAM RAY “BOB” LUCAS, 88, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born June 20, 1937, in Wayne, W.Va., a son of the late Lewis and Bessie Lucas. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Johnny Lucas and Jeff Lucas; and two sisters, Nellie Lucas and Ruby Stevens. Bob retired from Transfab with 30 years of service.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary Harmon Lucas; two children, Sherri (Brent) Webb of Lavalette, W.Va., and Gary (Cinda) Lucas of St. Albans, W.Va.; two grandsons, Matthew Lucas of Florence, Ky., and Lucas Webb of Lavalette; and four great grandchildren, Carter, Hayden, Emily, and Ember.
Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Hazel Lucas of Lawton, Okla., and Linda Lucas of Wayne; and a host of family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Preacher Phillip Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmon Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday at 10 a.m.
