WILLIAM OLIVER “Ollie” DEAN JR., 74, of Huntington, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 2, 2024. He was born June 24, 1950, in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late William and Ethel Dean. Also preceding him in death were two brothers Everett Dean and Gary Dean; one sister Deloris Adkins; and two grandchildren, Michael Fabian and Lillian Garlock.
He leaves behind two children, Jennifer Dean of Portland, Ore. and William Dean III of Streetsboro, Oh.; three grandchildren, Katrina (Jadyn) Moore of Genoa, W.Va., Katelyn Baker of Dawsonville, Ga., and Jaidyn Garlock of Portland; five great grandchildren, Baylee, Aubryona, Elaina, Raelyn, and Swayer; and one great grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.
Also surviving are one sister, Jewell Chambers and her husband Ken of Tenn.; one brother Ronald Dean of Wayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Brian Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Dean Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m.
