Obituary

YVETTE ARRINGTON COPLEY, 67, of Dunlow, W.Va., passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  She was born March 24, 1956 in Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Willie and Opal Arrington.  Her husband Jay Walter Copley also preceded her in death along with one brother, Phillip Theis; one sister, Roxie Wells; and very special friend Wandalene Eslick.  Yvette was Baptist by faith.  She worked as an EMT and firefighter for 35 years and was an honorable member of the Dunlow Volunteer Fire Department.  

Survivors include her son Willie Jay Copley; two grandsons, Jay Walter Copley and Ayden James Hardwick Copley; special friends James Eslick, Andrea Annie Nix and Amber Dawn Hardwick; as well as a host of friends and extended family too numerous to mention.   

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Queen’s Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday.  Donations to assist the family can be made by selecting the “Donations” tab above.
