BETTY JUNE RUSSELL, 67 of Lavalette, W.Va., passed away Thursday, July 06, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va.  She was born April 10, 1950 in East Lynn, W.Va., a daughter of the late Truman and Gladys Davis Russell.  Also preceding her in death were two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet Russell and Mary Justice and husband, Roy; and five brothers, Clifford, David, Daniel, Truman Russell, Jr. and Jerry Lee Russell.  Betty worked for Info-Cision in Huntington, and was a member of the Garretts Creek Community Church.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Ray Adkins and wife Susan of Proctorville, Ohio and Barry Allen Adkins of Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter Jennifer Lynn Myers of Ceredo, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Destiny, Dillon, Amanda, Tyler, Tanner, Kameron, and Shana; two great grandchildren Arizona and Bentley.

Also surviving are sisters, Gladys Ferguson and husband, Ralph of New Boston, Mich., Arlene Caldwell and husband, Delbert of Fort Gay, W.Va., and Judy Christian and husband, Roger of Wayne; brothers, Jimmy Russell of Kiahsville, W.Va., Jackie Russell and companion Mary “Tiney” Fortner of East Lynn; along with many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by former husband and lifelong friend Donald Adkins of Proctorville, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne, W.Va. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service.
