Mr. Skeens was one of my favorite student teachers while I was a student in the Fairland Band program. He was always happy, and fun to be around. I remember he sat in with our jazz ensemble and played bass trombone, and we had a blast. Prayers for comfort and peace to his family. Rest well, Mike; thanks for being mentor.
