STEVE ADKINS, 64, of East Lynn, W.Va., died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at home.  He was born December 24, 1951 at Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Harmon and Lilly Watts Adkins.  His sister, Ruby Katherine Adkins also preceded him in death. Steve was formerly employed with the Town of Wayne and a member of Laurel Freewill Baptist Church.

            Survivors include four brothers, Harmon "Jack" Adkins and his wife Reathy, Phillip Adkins and Cindy, Carlos Adkins and his wife Joyce, and David Lee Adkins, all of East Lynn; four sisters, Gladys Lucas and her husband Merle DeBoy of Wayne, W.Va., Catherine Workman and her husband Gordon of Genoa, W.Va., Darlene Adkins and Wally Kelly of Dunlow, W.Va., and Betty Staley and her husband Tommy of East Lynn; very special friend, Eugene Watts of East Lynn; Steve's fur baby Hanah; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

            Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Evangelist Luther Dingess officiating.  Burial will follow in Community Gardens.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
