DARRELL RICHARD RAMEY, 68, of Lavalette, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  He was born March 1, 1949 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late James and Ethel Ramey.  One daughter, Bethany Ramey also preceded him in death, along with two brothers, Don Ramey and David Ramey.  Darrell was Vietnam veteran, who served in the U.S. Army and was an auto mechanic.  He also attended Faith Freewill Baptist Church, Lavalette.

            He leaves behind his loving wife Pamela Ramey; two daughters, Sam (Jerry) Robinson, and Lizzie Ramey of Lavalette; five sons, Michael Ramey, James Ramey both of Huntington, Ethan (Tiffany) Ramey of Barboursville, W.Va., Jacob Ramey, and JimBob Ramey, both of Lavalette; and several grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers Dale Ramey, and Carlos (Tammy) Ramey all of Genoa; one sister Carolyn (Scott) Chandler of Wayne; and a host of family and friends.

            Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Faith Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Ray Williamson and Brother Charlie Spears officiating.  Burial will follow in the Burke Family Cemetery.  Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.  The family requests that anyone who works in the automotive industry wear their uniform in honor of Darrell.  Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ramey family.
