STANLEY “BRENT” LESTER, 65, of Wayne, W.Va., was welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 2, 2017.  He was born September 18, 1951 at Louisa, Ky., a son of the late Ralph and Gladys Lester.  Also preceding him in death were brothers, Joe Lester, and Ralph Curtis Lester; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and James Blankenship; niece Mary Elizabeth Blankenship; and nephew Bo Brooks.  Brent was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church.

            He is survived by his loving ex-wife and forever companion, Bonnie Lester of Wayne; three nephews Jimmy (Barb) Blankenship of Kenova, W.Va., Steve Hardwick (Rebecca) of Scott City, Mo., and Michael Walker of North Carolina; six nieces, Brenda (Don) Smith, Gloria Ferguson, Sharon Brooks, Nancy (Robert) Nutter all of Huntington, Rita (Tom) Tanis of Prichard, W.Va., and Karen (Justin) Osborne of Wayne; six great nephews, John (Mandie) Blankenship, Timothy (Beth) Tanis, Robert Nutter, Chris (Samantha) Blankenship, and Jeremy Smith, all of Huntington, and Brian (Leigh Ann) Brooks of Milton, W.Va.; three great-nieces, Sarah (Jeremy) Mount of Ona, W.Va., Heather Ferguson and Natalie Nutter of Huntington; five great-great nieces Riley Mount, and Britney Davis of Ona, Tatum Smith, Millie Blankenship, of Huntington, and Autumn Brooks of Milton; aunt and uncle Patty and Bob Fleming of Ft. Gay, W.Va.; sister-in-law Connie Hardwick of Wayne; brother-in-law Mike Walker of North Carolina; a host of special cousins and numerous friends that were like family to Brent.   

            Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Dillon and Brother Bill Stiltner officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartram Cemetery.  Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
